The Bear - Review

Old Ben, the bear, is practically immortal in the story. He cannot be killed nor hunted down. I think he represents nature and the hunters represent humanity's urge to conquer nature. Even when the father and son saw Old Ben, neither of them would shoot him. The dogs seem to be the link between nature and mankind. They side with the humans but fear nature's wrath.
